How do you know he hasn't opened the door? Maybe he comes while you are gone? Or did you put a piece of hair on his door knob so you could see if he ever went in and out? You don't have enough hair to do that! Tell me know you know!!!
There is a big manila envelope leaning up against the door on the outside. Our stairs/doors are sheltered from the eather, and that's how the office leaves you notices and stuff, like a few days after i moved in that's how they delivered me a hard copy of my lease. therefore, even if dead guy replaces it when he leaves the apartment, who puts it back when he goes in the apartment? his apartment is like mine, only one door. 3rd floor too, so windows are out. the local pizza place gives out a discount coupon flyer every week. they tape it to your doorknob. dead guy's is still there. apartment newsletter still rolled up beteen the doorknob and frame.
when i paid my rent last week, i mentioned to the office person, 'it looks like y'all are trying to get in touch with the person in 305, and i don't think there's anybody there - haven't seen or heard anybody ever, and that envelope you got leaning up against the door is stil there'. she pulled up a window on her computer and said, no, somebody's there. they're just....ghostly'. i guess she checked the burglar system. all apartments have a motion detector near the front door (inside) so they know if somebody's in a vacant apartment. they are deactivated when the apartment is occupied. so maybe, just maybe, dead guy is a shut-in. agoraphobic. but he's gonna need to come out for food sometime. unless he's really a dead guy.
